The theme of the "Platin Global 100 Index" conducted by Platin magazine in cooperation with Ipsos was determined as "digitalization" this year. At the Platin Global 100 Awards Ceremony, Netlog Logistics was awarded the "Logistics Sector Digitalization Award".
Speaking here, Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, President of the Presidential Investment Office, reminded that the theme of the 2020 awards is digitalization and said, "Although digitalization is a rising trend in the 21st century, it has gained a separate momentum due to pandemic conditions." he said.
Noting that organizations that invest in digitalization and can achieve this transformation outpace their competitors, Dağlıoğlu said, "We all experience that this transformation has accelerated even more during the pandemic process we are going through and competition in digitalization has increased."
Pointing out that digitalization is of critical importance for countries, Dağlıoğlu noted the following:
"When it comes to digitalization, beyond the competition between companies and institutions in this field, the competition between countries is more critical. As all relevant stakeholders in Turkey, under the leadership of our President, we are working with all our energy to ensure that our country takes its rightful place in global competition. We act with the awareness that international direct investments are one of the fundamental dynamics of sustainable development. When we look at the benefits of international investments, we can count items such as ensuring capital inflow to our country, creating employment in our country, increasing Turkey's exports by positioning Turkey as a regional production center. In addition to all these, perhaps the most important benefit is the transfer of technology."
